Well......my aim today, was to design a poster/flyer about the sewing classes I'd like to start in the New Year. It's now nearly 4pm and that hasn't happened!
I have had an impromptu clear out and tidy up though, which feels very soothing. I have printed lots of flyers about bunting ready for various Christmas Fairs, not least of all, the one at Abbots Langley Baptist Church on Saturday 2-4pm. I will be there sharing a table with my lovely friend Joanne who is an expert crocheter and knitter. Joanne has crocheted many gorgeous item to sell, including cloche hats in all the local school colours! (They are much too pretty to be called beanie hats).
I have printed our little "Get Crafty with Jenny and Jo" flyer!!
So, or sew, what picture would I use to interest people in sewing lessons? Are people interested in sewing lessons? I've heard many a Mum complain that their children aren't taught to sew at school, but would the children come to sewing lessons? I know I can make the lessons interesting, but but how do I let them know that on a poster?
Maybe that's enough questions for you for now........here's pretty picture of some cushions I made a while ago. They are beautifully hand embroidered (though I say so myself!) andwere meant to be auctioned for a fabulous charity in Africa. So they are £50 (plus p&p) each and £10 from each cushion will go to the DBW charity.
There are only 5 of these cushions and the words on them are DREAM, LOVE, PLANS, LISTEN and FAITH.......I think they'll go quickly!!!
My own comment/correction!!! £40 of the £50 for each cushion goes to DBW!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's DBW? Please forgive my ignorance but it's not a knitting or crochet term. Btw - thanks for the hat compliment. :-)
